Materials

Meat Sauce

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 3 cans water
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 t. chili powder
  • 1 t. oregano
  • 2 t. cumin
  • 2 T. sugar
  • 1 cup rice, cooked
  • 1 can kidney beans or pinto beans, optional

Toppings

  • 1 bag Fritos
  • lettuce, shredded
  • tomatoes, diced
  • olives, sliced
  • cheese, grated
  • green onions, diced
  • avocados, diced
  • sour cream
  • salsa

Instructions

Meat Sauce

  • Brown ground beef, onion, and garlic in a large sauce pan.
  • Add remaining "meat sauce" ingredients and simmer for 40 minutes.

Toppings

  • While meat sauce is cooking, prepare toppings.

Serving

  • To serve, place Fritos on a plate or bowl and top with meat sauce and remaining ingredients.
